This ride is somewhere between a Beginners and Intermediate ride over mainly flat terrain and is ideal for aerobic base conditioning. If using a heart rate monitor aim to stay mainly in Zone 3, extending into Zone 4 during the periodic sprints and the occasional short hill. If you want an intense tempo ride change your resistance mapping so you're working out mainly in Zone 4.
